07-04-2008 Happy 4th!

Ahhh, the 4th of July... Mango Margaritas and FFXI. A wonderful combination.

I helped a LS member get his subjob items and learn about the game. Not sure why but I've always enjoyed helping with that quest. Most people are so appreciative of the help and I love teaching about the game. Tonight was no exception. Nice guy that seemed real interested in playing the game. Really nice to see that kind of sprit as mine seems to have faded. I'm sure I'll gain more interest in the game, maybe not like before, but more so than the past few months. We'll see.

Thankfully we wrapped things up just in time for me to take the kids to see the fireworks. Kinda nice that it is in walking distance. I would take pictures to post on here, but they didn't turn out so well last year. Oh well. They are not nearly as impressive on film anyway. Much better in person!

07-02-2008 I found a social LS

I was in the process of dressing PUP this evening and saw someone shouting for a Social LS. I took a chance and asked to join. They were doing the W.Ron Garrison and it went well. I felt bad that I was a really gimped BLM on Jenmist, but meh I pulled the gear together at the last minute. We won and I was the only death... I took hate from the NM after sleeping it on the last wave. Just goes to show I was doing my job ^^; I wasn't the least bit worried about the xp loss, I never play BLM and can't imagine that I will anytime soon. I was just happy to play anything.

I got a pearl for Atia and will probably use her on the shell more than Jenmist. It gives her a purpose.

Bob and Sean spent the evening working on their low levels. They actually partied in the dunes without a PL and lived. I didn't offer and they didn't ask. Let's hope that trend continues. Lord knows I've PL'ed the two of them enough over the last few years... about time I played the game also.
