Bliss the Bard!

After the shock of finding out that Liq is leveling WHM started to wear off, I was stuck trying to decide what job I was going level. With Bob and Sean reversing roles with respect to tanking and DD, that left a few roles open, all of which where support jobs. Originally I was going to go with DNC. My logic was that I will be a front line healer/support job. But Sean, Bob and I had an opportunity to discuss it and we all agree that it may be best to have a BRD instead. A bard can help the WHM by not only providing refresh, but also by boosting the party's ability to kill the mob quickly thereby indirectly helping the WHM conserve MP. So I spent a few hours farming bees and bought gear with the proceeds. Not the greatest, but I should be able to work with what I have and pick up better along the way. Now to work on wind instrument skill ups..... yippee!

Welcome home Liquids and Tacitus!

Today was full of surprises! After the extreme joy of seeing Liquids online after a few days of trying to get his FFXI account up and running, I find out that Tacitus has also made his way back to the game! I'm so glad to see them both :) For those that have never played an online game, I can imagine that it is difficult for them to understand the bond that forms between people after playing countless hours of fights, quests and missions together. You really do have to trust them with your virtual lives and have a blast doing so! You care about the people behind the avatar and you want the best for them in all that they do. The become part of your family and like a real family, you are accepted for who you are, without conditions. I really do love these guys simply because of their personalities, which are so very different from my own.

Liquids is bold, brave, adventurous and one of the funniest young people (man I feel old just saying that!) I have ever met in my life. The fondness that I had for him when we first met in Kazham so many years ago is exactly the same today.

Tacitus is one of the smartest people I've met. Although that should intimidate the hell out of me, I find that his wit, confidence and charisma charming. All of which makes him the perfect planner: We gladly follow his suggestion, often dying in the process, laughing at ourselves along the way and still managing to complete our objective.

I am always thankful for the people I have in my life. Even though I have never met these men in person, I have a special place in my heart for both of them.

All too familiar ground!

All bees must die! Muhahaha! Sean and I are farming to try and build up some gil while we wait for Liquids to start playing again. Bees, bees and, you guessed it, more bees!
